About Me

Hey there! My journey with auto repair began when I was just a kid, assigned the seemingly monumental task of fixing my mom’s 1995 Nissan Quest. At the time, I had no idea that this challenge would ignite a passion for cars and ultimately lead to the creation of this blog.

One fateful day, I stumbled upon an old Geocities site dedicated to fixing various issues related to the Nissan Quest. The site became my guiding star, helping me navigate the complexities of auto repair and ultimately saving my family a significant amount of money. I was both amazed and inspired by the power of sharing knowledge online. As I continued learning and tinkering with cars, I realized that I, too, wanted to make a positive impact on the lives of others.

And so, Explorer Platinum was born – a place where I could share my experiences, tips, and advice with fellow DIYers and how-to enthusiasts. My hope is that this site becomes a valuable resource for anyone looking to tackle their own auto repair projects, just as that old Geocities site was for me.

On occasion, I might share links to products on Amazon that I’ve found particularly helpful in my own repair projects. ExplorerPlatinum.com is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon.com. I want to be transparent that I may earn a small commission if you choose to purchase through these links, but this won’t affect your shopping experience or the prices of the products. The revenue generated from these links helps support the maintenance of this blog and allows me to continue sharing valuable content with you.

I’m thrilled to have you here and I hope that my journey – from a curious kid to a motivated DIYer – inspires you to embrace the challenges and joys of auto repair. Let’s learn, grow, and save together.
